Manage Insurance Policy Changes and Approvals

Manage Insurance Policy Changes and Approvals with Garansure

An insurance subscription doesn’t always follow a straight line from application to approval. A customer may need to correct personal details, change their premium payment frequency, or update information before the policy can become active.

Garansure supports this process directly through its CMS, connecting subscription management, customer updates, contract signing, and underwriting approval in one workflow.

** NOTE – for speed in this demo, we use paper signing rather than the digital signature **

1. Reopen a completed subscription

In the demo, we start with a completed insurance subscription awaiting approval.

From the CMS, a partner reopens the subscription and specifies the required changes:

  • Correct the customer’s name from Jon to John.
  • Change the premium payment frequency from annual to monthly.

The subscription can then be returned to the customer or broker for the necessary updates and a new signature.

2. Update the details and sign again

The customer or broker reopens the subscription using the link and makes the requested changes.

The customer’s name is corrected, the premium payment frequency is changed to monthly, and the contract is signed again before the subscription is completed for a second time.

In this demonstration, we use a hand-drawn signature to illustrate the workflow.

The resulting contract reflects the updated customer details and premium payment frequency.

3. Review and approve as an underwriter

Once the updated subscription has been resubmitted, we access the CMS using an underwriter account.

Garansure’s role-based access control allows specific underwriting capabilities to be assigned to the appropriate users.

The underwriter acknowledges receipt of the newly signed contract. A second confirmation step helps ensure that important actions, such as approvals, are explicitly acknowledged.

4. Activate the policy

After the underwriter completes the approval step, the contract becomes active.

The demonstration illustrates how a subscription can move from awaiting approval, through a requested change and customer resubmission, to final underwriting approval and policy activation.

More Garansure functionality

All actions are recorded in the change log with dates, times, and who took the action.
